We are seeking an experienced and highly effective Early Years practitioner who can lead Early Years with confidence and expertise within a nurturing, inclusive Church of England primary school. The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong and credible Early Years practice, with a clear understanding of high-quality EYFS provision and child development.
  • The ability to lead and influence Early Years practice, modelling excellence and supporting colleagues.
  • Experience of creating language-rich, engaging learning environments.
  • Strong classroom practice and the ability to balance class-based teaching with leadership responsibility.
  • A commitment to inclusion, equity and reflective practice.
  • Willingness to support and contribute to the Christian ethos and values of the school.

This role would suit an experienced Early Years teacher ready to take on a wider leadership role, or an existing leader seeking an interim Assistant Headteacher post.

Further details about the role: This post is an interim Assistant Headteacher role for one year in the first instance, with responsibility for leading Early Years. The successful candidate will be appointed to a permanent teaching post within the school, based in Early Years, alongside this leadership responsibility.
