Are you an inspiring and motivated teacher with a particular passion for special educational needs? Do you want to be part of a committed, dynamic team who are constantly improving their professional practice? We are looking to appoint a full time, permanent teacher for our Area Resource Base which caters for thirteen children (aged from 4-11) with severe and complex learning needs including ASD, speech and language difficulties, physical disabilities and global development delay. This is due to the expansion of our outstanding provision.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the teaching and learning within the ARB on a day-to-day basis, as well as managing and developing the highly skilled support team, which consists of two HLTAs and several teaching assistants. The post will suit a teacher experienced in teaching children with complex learning needs, and who is able to maintain positive and warm relationships with children in challenging situations.

The successful applicant will be highly organised and motivated to make a difference to the life chances of some of our most vulnerable children. They will be an effective team leader, eager and willing to play an active role in the life of our school.

Penryn Primary Academy is a member of Aspire Multi Academy Trust. The Aspire Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust comprising 36 primary academies, and 20 nurseries, across Cornwall. For the right candidate, there may be further leadership opportunities within the school.
