We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Voluntary Community Governor to join our Local Governing Body. This is a rewarding opportunity to support and challenge school leaders, helping to ensure the best possible outcomes for our pupils and wider school community. Community Governors play a vital role in bringing an external perspective to governance, helping to strengthen links between the school and the local community.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have an interest in education and improving outcomes for children
  • Can think strategically and ask constructive questions
  • Are willing to learn and undertake governor training
  • Can commit time to meetings and school engagement
  • Bring skills or experience from any sector (e.g. HR, finance, law, education, public services, community work, business)

No prior governance experience is required—full training and support will be provided.
