Overview

Delamere School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled class teacher to cover a 12-month maternity leave. The role is based in a Key Stage 2 class with pupils who have significant learning difficulties; autism; sensory processing disorders; are mainly pre-verbal and use alternative communication strategies. Both existing specialist teachers and mainstream teachers are welcome to apply. Please check the person specification carefully.

Responsibilities

  • Be an outstanding teacher and contribute to maintaining our outstanding provision.
  • Set and achieve high standards and expectations of learning, teaching, behaviour and care.
  • Demonstrate commitment, dedication, determination and organisational skills to succeed in a demanding role.
  • Lead a curriculum subject successfully and differentiate for pupils with a range of learning needs while remaining aspirational for all.
  • Engage in multi-disciplinary teamwork and communicate effectively with students, parents and staff.
  • Lead and support a team of staff as required.
