In your Nursery Assistant role, some of your duties and responsibilities will include establishing an effective and purposeful learning environment in partnership with teachers and other colleagues. Preparing activities, ensuring that appropriate materials and equipment are available, and assisting in clearing away afterwards. The successful candidate will promote good behaviour and deal promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encourage children to take responsibility for their own behaviour. This role is expected to be 6 hours per week, 09:00 - 12:00 on Wednesday and Friday.
In your MDSA role, you will be expected to assist with setting up the hall with tables, benches, cutlery, water etc. for lunchtimes and clearing down/tables away at the end of lunchtime. You may need to report accidents of the type identified by the school e.g. head injuries or children who become unwell, so that parents can be contacted. This role is expected to be 7.5 hours per week, 11:45 - 13:15 every day.
As a Wrap Around Care Assistant, you will help provide high standards of care and play opportunities for children and ensure children can use equipment and materials provided. It is essential that you are able to maintain a safe, secure and stimulating environment. In discussion with the Wrap Around Care Leader, identify opportunities for improvement in service delivery and implementing and evaluating changes, where required. This role is expected to be 8 hours per week, 15:15 - 17:15 Monday to Thursday.
