We have a rare and exciting opportunity to join our school as the Catering Manager. In this role you will be responsible for the overall efficient and effective management of the catering operations at the school, ensuring great quality food and service. You will be responsible for the preparation, cooking and service of food to agreed standards and specifications whilst also adhering to food safety regulations. You will ensure efficient and economic use is made of all resources, including stock, catering staff and company assets.
Scalby School is a successful and popular 11-16 community school based in picturesque seaside town of Scarborough on the North Yorkshire Coast. We currently have approximately 1000 students on roll. In recent years we have become the school of choice in our local community. Our P8 score in 2024 placed us in the top 14% of schools nationally again.
Our students are diverse, exciting and talented - and the same is true of our staff. We put huge emphasis on professional development, most of it in-house, and are proud of the highly effective teaching, which characterises our school. We are also noted for our 'can do' attitude.
