What skills and experience we\’re looking for
Oaklands is a school for children and young peoplethat have severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties and/or autism. Wecater for students between the ages of 4 and 19. High Oaks, our secondary school is based in apurpose built premises located in Gresham Road, Hounslow. We are close toOsterley Tube Station and public transport routes and just 15 minutes\’ walkfrom Hounslow bus station.
Oaklands sixth form offer a 3 year programme ofstudy. As part of this 3 year programme students participate in Vocational andLife skills activities. As part of this they will participate in a range ofactivities relating to the World of work and preparing them for adulthood.
Dueto our rapid and continued expansion, we are looking to appoint an enthusiasticCafé and Shop Assistant. The ideal candidate will maintain a high level ofcustomer service whilst supporting and training students to develop theirworking skills in a café environment. You will need to have experience of workingin a café and retail environment and experience of having worked with young peoplewho have severe learning difficulties. We believe that all of our students arecapable of making outstanding progress and we want to appoint individuals whoshare our belief and have the desire and motivation to make this happen.
