Braidwood is a highly successful school for deaf pupils aged between 11 and 19. We are seeking someone to work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. To provide short term cover for lessons in the absence of a class teacher. To support teaching staff in the development and education of pupils including the provision of specialist skills as appropriate. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.

Responsibilities:

  • To undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
  • To provide short term cover for lessons in the absence of a class teacher.
  • To support teaching staff in the development and education of pupils including the provision of specialist skills as appropriate.
  • Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.
