Are you an exceptional and inspirational teacher who believes in the potential of every child? Are you passionate about Music in primary schools? Then join our team! We are looking for an enthusiastic primary teacher to join our strong and supportive team, covering classes for PPA and leading whole school music. You will be able to teach any subject across the primary age range, but have a specialism in music so as to teach music across the school too. We are currently a Lead School for WEMA, something we would wish the successful candidate to maintain and develop. You will be passionate about teaching and committed to making a difference. You will be experienced in leading whole school music events and be committed to ensuring our school’s very strong music reputation is continued and developed. This post is part time, 0.6 FTE, for 3 full days.

We are looking for:

  • A talented teacher with high expectations for behaviour, attitudes and learning
  • Someone who consistently demonstrates high quality teaching to secure consistently good or outstanding learning for all children
  • Someone with experience of achieving excellent pupil outcomes
  • A teacher who will maintain a dynamic and inspiring learning environment, be innovative and demonstrate high levels of motivation
  • Someone with the desire and experience to lead music across the school
  • Someone with the ability and experience to maintain the school’s position as a Lead school in WEMA, of which part of the responsibility is to support other music leads in the area and run CPD
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Someone who will contribute to the wider life at the school, including leading music-related extracurricular activities
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of our team
  • Someone who is committed to our vision and values
