Overview

Crofton Academy are seeking to recruit a tenacious Attendance Improvement Officer to join the Academy Attendance Team. We require a confident person who can ensure liaison between home and the Academy. The successful candidate will support and challenge both our young people and their families to improve their attendance.

Responsibilities

  • A confident and effective communicator with an ability to persuade and negotiate.
  • Relentless in your drive to improve attendance across the Academy.
  • Able to cope with conflict in a positive manner.
  • Organised and analytical, with a desire for continuous improvement.
  • Able to think outside of the box in supporting and developing attendance initiatives.
  • Passionate about the education of children and young adults.
  • The ability to work on their own initiative, but also be able to work flexibly as part of a team.

The post holder will be responsible to the Associate Senior Leader/DSL – Attendance and Safeguarding.

The successful candidate must have a full driving license with insurance for business purposes as they will be required to visit the homes of students/parents/carers on a regular basis.
