Term-time only, Monday-Friday, 6 hours per day (8.45am-3.15pm, with 1/2 hour unpaid lunch). Dry Sandford Primary School is a small, nurturing rural primary school with a supportive and welcoming staff team. We are looking to appoint an organised, friendly and efficient Office Administrator with finance responsibilities to join our school community.
About the Role
This is a rewarding and varied position at the heart of our school. Working alongside our existing Office Receptionist, you will be one of the first points of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors, helping to ensure the smooth running of the school office. In addition to general administrative duties, you will take a lead role in supporting the administration of our school’s financial processes, supported by our School Bursar.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a professional, warm and helpful front-of-house service.
- Manage daily administrative tasks, including correspondence, monitoring attendance, overseeing the administration of our health and safety and medical procedures, organising school trips and visits, and administrative support for recruitment and personnel.
- Support financial administration such as invoices, orders, budget monitoring and processing payments.
- Work closely with the Headteacher and School Bursar to ensure compliance with school finance procedures.
- Liaise with parents and staff regarding enquiries, communications and administrative organisation of school events and activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all aspects of work.
