Teaching Tomorrow is seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Computer Science for a secondary school in Coventry. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the department, shape the curriculum, and inspire students to achieve excellence in computing and digital technologies.
The Role
- Lead and manage the Computer Science department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement schemes of work and curriculum planning.
- Support, mentor, and appraise teaching staff within the department.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring excellent outcomes across all year groups.
- Foster a culture of innovation, engagement, and digital literacy.
We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level.
- Proven leadership experience within a school or department.
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to raising standards.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Willingness to travel from Northamptonshire if required (own transport essential).
