We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 3 Computer Teacher to join an OFSTED rated ‘Good’ Secondary school in Luton. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer science and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
The role is suitable for ECT and Experienced teachers. This role is a fixed-term position starting in September 2026, on Thursdays and Fridays initially until October half term with the potential to extend.
The role:
- Delivering high-quality lessons across KS3
- Teaching within the computer science curriculum
- Teach fundamental computer skills, including software applications, programming, and internet safety
- Creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively
- Assessing and supporting student progress
Requirements:
- Hold QTS or relevant teaching qualifications and proven classroom experience
- Recent experience teaching within UK secondary schools
- Strong subject knowledge within your specialism
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- The right to work in the UK
