Teaching Tomorrow is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Bedford. Cover Supervisors play a key role in supporting schools by supervising classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain engaged and complete the work set by the teacher.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher
- Delivering pre-set work and supporting pupils to stay on task
- Managing behaviour in line with school policies and expectations
- Ensuring a safe, calm and productive learning environment
- Reporting back to teaching staff at the end of the lesson/day where required
Requirements
- Experience working with young people is desirable (but not essential)
- Confident communication skills and strong classroom presence
- A professional, flexible and proactive approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
