Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor for local Guisborough secondary schools to start in September. This role is perfect for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with experience working with young people.
The Role
- You will supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher – delivering pre-prepared lessons, managing behaviour in line with school policies, supporting students with their work, and feeding back to teaching staff.
- No formal teaching qualification is required, just confidence in the classroom and the ability to build rapport with students.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with young people in any capacity (schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work)
- Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to students' learning and wellbeing
- Understanding of SEND needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH) is advantageous
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
