We are looking to recruit a motivated and committed Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher to join our friendly and supportive school community in Yeovil from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to play a vital role in welcoming a new group of pupils and guiding them through the early stages of their education.
About the Role
The successful applicant will have full responsibility for an EYFS class, delivering high-quality teaching in line with the EYFS framework. A central part of this role will involve supporting children as they transition into school, helping them to settle confidently and develop a positive attitude towards learning.
Key Duties
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils
- Support children during their transition into school, promoting confidence, independence, and curiosity
- Use a range of teaching strategies to accommodate different abilities and learning styles
- Work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to create a positive learning environment
- Take full responsibility for all aspects of the class, including planning, assessment, reporting, and safeguarding
