This is an outstanding opportunity for a skilled teacher who is committed to delivering high‑quality education to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
You will be part of a supportive, child‑centred environment where lessons are carefully adapted to meet individual needs, helping children develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
We are looking for a teacher with proven classroom experience who can hit the ground running
You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, work collaboratively with support staff, and build positive relationships with pupils who require patience, consistency and encouragement to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Teach pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication needs, moderate learning difficulties, SEMH and associated SEND.
- Create personalised learning opportunities that enable every child to make progress.
- Monitor pupil achievement and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
- Work closely with teaching assistants to deliver high‑quality classroom support.
- Contribute to EHCP targets, pupil reviews and progress meetings where appropriate.
- Establish clear routines and positive behaviour expectations.
- Build strong partnerships with parents, carers and external professionals.
- Promote pupils' confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing alongside academic development.
Qualifications
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have recent Key Stage 2 teaching experience.
- Have experience working with children with SEND in either mainstream or specialist settings.
- Be an adaptable, reflective practitioner with excellent classroom management skills.
- Be passionate about inclusive education and personalised learning.
- Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills.
