Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist education setting in Yeovil that supports young people with communication and interaction needs. This is an opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to helping pupils build confidence, independence and essential life skills that prepare them for adulthood.
We are seeking an inspiring individual who can build positive relationships with pupils and help them navigate their journey towards adulthood. Working closely with learners, families, colleagues and external partners, you will play a key role in helping young people develop social understanding, employability skills, self-belief and greater independence.
Each day will bring variety. You may be supporting learners during practical activities, facilitating community-based experiences, encouraging workplace readiness, promoting communication skills or helping pupils overcome barriers that impact their personal growth. Success in this position comes from seeing potential in every individual and creating opportunities for that potential to flourish.
The ideal applicant will bring patience, creativity and resilience, alongside a genuine commitment to supporting children and young people with additional needs. Experience within education, youth work, social care, mentoring, coaching or supported employment would be highly advantageous, although individuals with transferable skills and the right values are equally encouraged to apply.
