The Role

As the Year 6 Class Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils at a crucial stage of their primary education. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Monitoring, assessing, and tracking pupil progress effectively
  • Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a motivated and committed teacher who can bring confidence and positivity to the classroom. You will ideally have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Year 6 or across Key Stage 2
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
  • A sound understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum and SATs requirements
  • A flexible and adaptive teaching approach
  • Confidence using technology to enhance learning
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team-working mindset
