We are looking for an engaging Year 6 Teacher who can support pupils through the final year of primary education, helping them prepare for SATs and transition to secondary school. Year 6 Teacher Responsibilities- Take responsibility for a Year 6 class.
- Deliver targeted teaching, intervention and consolidation work.
- Work closely with another member of staff who will deliver core lessons.
- Support small intervention groups to raise attainment and close gaps.
- Plan and deliver engaging and purposeful learning activities.
- Track pupil progress and support SATs preparation.
- Create a structured, supportive and aspirational classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively across the school to support pupil outcomes.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching within Upper Key Stage 2, ideally as a Year 6 Teacher.
- Be confident delivering intervention-based teaching alongside another class teacher.
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Be committed to raising attainment and supporting SATs preparation.
- Be passionate about supporting pupils through their final year.
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
