Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding role? Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming and supportive Primary School in Poulton-le-Fylde who are seeking a Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team after February half term. This is a general TA position within a Year 3 classroom. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to support learning, maintain a positive classroom environment, and contribute to the overall progress of pupils.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver small-group interventions to help boost attainment in core subjects.
  • Provide 1:1 support for children who may require additional guidance with learning, focus, or emotional regulation.
  • Assist with planning and preparation of learning materials.
  • Contribute to assessments and feedback alongside the teacher.

Qualifications

  • Have previous experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within Key Stage 2.
  • Be patient, nurturing, and able to build strong relationships with pupils.
  • Show initiative and confidence in delivering targeted intervention sessions.
  • Have strong communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider staff team.
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a valid DBS registered on the update service.
