We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis within a primary school in Stockton-on-Tees. This rewarding role will involve supporting two pupils across the school day:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a non-verbal Year 6 pupil in the mornings, helping them access learning and engage positively within the classroom environment.
  • Support a Year 2 pupil who is working at an Early Years level in the afternoons, delivering tailored support to aid their learning and development.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working with children with SEND needs
  • A good understanding of the Primary Curriculum
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Patience, adaptability and a nurturing approach
  • Previous experience in a school-based support role is desirable
