About the Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 5 class, delivering high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
The school is looking for a teacher who is confident, organised and consistent, with excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
- Your Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across the Year 5 curriculum
- Establish clear expectations and maintain strong behaviour management throughout the school day
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
- Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
- Build strong and positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Work collaboratively with the wider school team
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to assessment and planning
- Always follow school policies and safeguarding procedures
What Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching within a primary school setting
- Experience teaching Key Stage 2, particularly Year 5, is desirable
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Confidence in establishing clear boundaries and maintaining consistency
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching
- The ability to differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities
