We're looking for resilient, proactive, and compassionate individuals to join our team as Behaviour Support Mentors - working directly with children and young people who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and may require additional personal care and support to thrive in education and beyond.

- A Youth Worker, Teaching Assistant, or Mentor - with hands-on experience supporting young people in education, community, or care settings.

Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural, emotional, or social challenges, including those with SEN or additional learning needs.
- Offer personal care support where needed, ensuring every student's dignity, comfort, and wellbeing are prioritised.
- Build strong, trusting relationships that help young people feel safe, valued, and understood.
- De-escalate incidents with patience, empathy, and confidence.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to implement tailored behaviour and support plans.
- Be a consistent, reliable role model - someone who provides structure, reassurance, and positivity throughout the school day.
What You'll Need
- Natural resilience, empathy, and a good sense of humour - the perfect combination for working with young people who face barriers to learning.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect and adapt to individual needs.
- A calm, patient, and fair approach to behaviour management and personal care.
- A current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service check) or a willingness to obtain one before starting.
