Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our Withernsea Primary Schools. Full-time and part-time applicants are encouraged to apply, term time only. This position will pay £92.63–£100 per day.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient and reliable candidate who is confident supporting a child with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis. This role requires a strong passion for welfare, education and child development, as well as the ability to build positive and trusting relationships.
Applicants with relevant experience such as a Teaching Assistant, SEN Support Worker, SEN Sport Coach or Healthcare Assistant are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications and Experience- A minimum of a Level 2 Certificate in Early Years Education or Childcare is an advantage, but not essential.
- Previous experience working with young children, particularly those with special educational needs, in an educational or childcare setting.
- Experience providing 1:1 support is highly desirable.
- Basic first aid certification is an advantage, but not mandatory.
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a named child, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
- Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the child's individual needs.
- Support the child's academic, social and emotional development.
