Teaching Personnel are currently supporting the recruitment of a dedicated and compassionate Assistant SENCO on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Slough. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a passionate professional who is committed to supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities and ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive both academically and personally. The successful candidate will work closely with the school's Director of Inclusion to support the strategic development of SEND provision and contribute to the delivery of high-quality inclusive practice across the school.
The Role
- Supporting the identification and assessment of pupils with SEND
- Assisting with the coordination and delivery of targeted interventions
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff, families, and external agencies
- Monitoring pupil progress and maintaining accurate SEND documentation
- Supporting EHCP reviews and annual review processes
- Promoting inclusive classroom practices and pupil wellbeing
- Contributing to the wider SEND and inclusion strategy across the school
