SEND Teaching Assistant – Autism (Personal Care Responsibilities included) We are working with a Wigan primary school looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with autism and complex needs. This is a highly rewarding role that will involve providing both educational support and personal care as part of the pupil’s daily routine. You will support the pupil’s learning, communication, and emotional development, helping them access classroom activities in a way that meets their individual needs. You will also work closely with teaching staff and external professionals to ensure a consistent and supportive approach is maintained. This role is due to begin in October 2026 and will be a full-time position on an ongoing basis. Personal care will be a required part of this role, so previous experience and confidence in this area are essential.
