Year 6 Teacher – Part-Time – Ashton-in-Makerfield Primary School – October 2026 Start
Teaching Personnel are working alongside a well-established and supportive primary school in Ashton-in-Makerfield to recruit a confident and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis from October 2026. This is a key role within the school, supporting pupils through the final stage of their primary education.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching that prepares pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments while maintaining an engaging and balanced curriculum. The role involves careful tracking of pupil progress, identifying gaps in learning and implementing targeted interventions to support attainment.
The successful candidate will be expected to create a structured and focused classroom environment, promoting high expectations and a strong work ethic. At the same time, you will support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and help them build confidence as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.
The school is looking for a teacher with excellent organisational skills, strong subject knowledge and the ability to motivate and inspire learners. Experience in upper Key Stage 2 and SATs preparation would be highly advantageous.
