Are you a passionate and energetic PE Teacher with experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a committed and motivating practitioner to join a specialist educational setting, delivering accessible, engaging and inclusive PE lessons to learners with a range of additional needs.
About the Role
- Plan and deliver differentiated PE lessons tailored to students with diverse needs (including ASD, SEMH, MLD and physical needs).
- Promote physical development, movement skills, confidence and wellbeing.
- Create a safe, structured and motivating environment that supports all learners to access PE at their level.
- Work closely with support staff, therapists and the wider teaching team to ensure all pupils can participate fully.
- Use positive behaviour management strategies and trauma‑informed approaches.
- Encourage teamwork, communication and social development through structured activities and adapted sports.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience working in an SEN setting or supporting students with SEN in mainstream.
- Strong understanding of adaptive PE, differentiated instruction and inclusive practice.
- A creative, patient and resilient practitioner who can inspire students of all abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
