Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Kitchen Assistant to work within a secondary school in Weymouth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is dependable, enthusiastic and enjoys working as part of a team.
You will play an important role in supporting the school's catering provision, helping to ensure students and staff receive a friendly and efficient service throughout the school day.
Your duties will include:
- Helping with the preparation and serving of meals
- Assisting the catering team during busy service periods
- Cleaning kitchen areas, equipment and utensils
- Washing up and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- Assisting with deliveries and stock management
- Following food hygiene and health and safety regulations
- Supporting the kitchen team with general day-to-day duties
- Providing a welcoming and professional service to students and staff
The ideal Kitchen Assistant will be:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Friendly and approachable
- A strong team player with a positive attitude
- Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Organised and willing to take on different responsibilities
- Committed to maintaining excellent hygiene standards
- Previous experience in a kitchen, catering or school environment would be advantageous, although not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
