About the Role
One of our partner SEN schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and nurturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood education and committed to helping young learners thrive in a positive, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate EYFS activities
- Assist in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and development
- Observe and record pupils' progress, contributing to assessments where required
- Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support children with additional needs, ensuring all pupils can access learning opportunities
- Contribute to the preparation of learning resources and classroom organisation
Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with children in an EYFS setting (school or nursery)
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification)
- A good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patience, creativity, and a caring attitude
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
