Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant (Unqualified) Required

Hours: Full-time, Part-time & Flexible Opportunities Available (08:30 – 15:30)
Pay: £92.63 – £100 per day (dependent on experience, paid weekly)

We are currently working with a range of welcoming Welsh-medium primary schools across Cardiff who are looking for enthusiastic, unqualified Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistants. Opportunities are available on a full-time, part-time, and flexible basis, allowing you to find work that fits around your schedule. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a Welsh-speaking environment. You will play a key role in helping to create a positive, engaging, and supportive classroom experience for pupils.
Your Responsibilities
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons through the Welsh language
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils
- Assisting with literacy and numeracy development
- Preparing classroom materials and resources
- Encouraging positive behaviour and active participation
- Supporting pupils’ confidence, wellbeing, and independence
- Assisting with general classroom organisation and supervision
What We’re Looking For
- Confident Welsh speaker (spoken essential, written desirable)
- A genuine passion for working with children
- Friendly, patient, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and follow guidance from teaching staff
- Previous experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
- Availability for full-time, part-time, or flexible work
