Teaching Personnel are proudly seeking a confident and driven Welsh speaker to work as a Teaching Assistant in schools around Pontypool and the surrounding areas. No experience? Not a worry – you can learn everything you need to know on the job. The successful candidate will be driven and passionate about the education sector and will demonstrate their resilience whilst supporting pupils and teaching staff to contribute to the overall positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the school's safeguarding and protection policies to ensure a safe environment for all students.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere that promotes student growth and development.
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability in response to the diverse and changing needs of pupils.
  • Assist teachers and other school staff with daily tasks and support educational activities.
  • Establish and maintain trusting relationships with students and their families, providing emotional and social support as needed.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will receive a Level 2 Child Safeguarding qualification through Teaching Personnel before you start. You will also be given many more CPD opportunities once in the school either for FREE or at a hugely discounted rate!

Job requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Fluent Welsh speaker
  • Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate (we will help you obtain this)
  • To be registered with the EWC (Education Workforce Council)
  • Two professional references covering 24 months
  • Level 2 Safeguarding (provided by Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
