A welcoming primary school in Warrington is seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated inclusion team. This role will be based within the school’s inclusion room, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH. You will play a key role in helping children regulate, engage with learning, and develop socially and emotionally within a structured and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted support to pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Assist with the delivery of individualised learning plans
  • Support behaviour regulation strategies and emotional wellbeing
  • Work closely with the SENCo and wider staff team
  • Create a calm, safe, and nurturing space for pupils

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with SEND, particularly within a primary setting
  • Patience, resilience, and ability to build strong relationships
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and inclusive practices
  • Proactive and able to use initiative

This is a temporary position; in some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
