Teaching Personnel is working closely with a friendly and supportive primary school to recruit a committed Key Stage 2 teacher to join their team after May half term. This is an excellent opportunity for both ECTs and experienced teachers seeking a rewarding role within a welcoming school environment.

Position: Year 4 Teacher
Start Date: After May Half-Term
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Part-time (with potential for long-term or permanent placement from September)

About the Role: You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons within a Year 4 class, supporting pupils as they progress through Key Stage 2. The role involves planning, preparation, and assessment in line with the national curriculum, while creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Year 4 curriculum
  • Supporting pupils’ academic progress in core subjects including English and Maths
  • Preparing pupils for lower Key Stage 2 expectations and assessments
  • Assessing, recording, and tracking pupil progress effectively
  • Creating a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and parents/carers
  • Upholding safeguarding procedures and strong behaviour management strategies
  • Contributing positively to the wider school community

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4 (including placements)
  • Strong understanding of the UK national curriculum
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
