We are supporting a specialist provision looking to appoint a resilient and dedicated teacher to work with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, adaptable lessons within your subject specialism
  • Support students with SEMH needs through consistent and structured approaches
  • Create a calm, positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with support staff and external professionals
  • Monitor progress and tailor teaching to meet individual needs
  • Build strong relationships that encourage trust, motivation and participation

Qualifications

  • QTS (or equivalent)
  • Strong subject knowledge (all specialisms considered)
  • Confident behaviour management skills
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach

Desirable

  • Experience within SEMH, SEND or alternative provision settings
  • Understanding of behaviour strategies and trauma-informed practice
  • Experience working with disengaged or vulnerable learners
