We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the CF24 area that is looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with upper Key Stage 2 pupils and is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential during this important stage of their education.
The Role
You will be working within a lovely Year 6 class that has a fantastic group of children who are eager to learn and full of personality. The class can be lively at times, so the school is looking for a confident and proactive Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships, maintain high expectations and support pupils effectively throughout the school day. A significant part of the role will involve delivering targeted interventions and working with small groups of pupils to support progress in key areas such as:
- Reading comprehension
- Writing and SPaG
- Maths fluency and reasoning
- SATs preparation
- Confidence-building and learning behaviours
You will also support the class teacher with classroom organisation, pupil engagement, assessment activities and general classroom support.
