Teaching Personnel is pleased to be working with one of our partner secondary schools to recruit a creative and skilled Textiles Teacher for a full-time, temporary role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about design, creativity, and hands‑on learning, and who enjoys inspiring students through fashion and textile design.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging Textiles lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 advantageous)
  • Teach practical skills such as sewing, pattern making, fabric techniques, and surface decoration
  • Encourage creativity, independent design thinking, and craftsmanship
  • Maintain a safe, well‑organised, and inclusive practical learning environment
  • Support the wider Design & Technology department as required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Textiles or Design & Technology
  • Confident managing practical lessons and workshop equipment
  • Creative, organised, and enthusiastic about teaching
  • Recent experience teaching Textiles in UK secondary schools
