Teaching Personnel is looking to add passionate and reliable Learning Support Assistants to our pool of educators supporting SEN and SEMH schools across Wakefield and nearby areas. We work with a wide range of specialist and mainstream settings, supporting children and young people with additional needs. This is a great opportunity if you’re looking to gain experience in education or continue building on experience you already have.
About the role:
- As a Learning Support Assistant, you may be supporting pupils with:
- Behaviour and emotional regulation
- Accessing learning in the classroom
- One-to-one or small group support
- Personal care (where required, with training and guidance)
- Building positive relationships and routines
Placements can be day-to-day, short-term, or long-term, depending on your availability and preferences.

- Experience working in UK schools, OR
- Experience in support work, youth work, care work, or any role working with children or young people
- A patient, calm, and proactive approach
- A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
You do not need formal qualifications to apply, as long as you have relevant experience and the right attitude.
