Teaching Personnel is looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across South Wales. You do not need to be a qualified teacher – if you have the right skills, personality, and presence, we will support you to step into the role.

The Role:

Cover Supervisors are unqualified teachers who step in to deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising whole classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Delivering pre-set work and ensuring pupils stay on task
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Providing feedback to teachers on lesson progress
  • Supporting students’ learning in other classes when not covering lessons

This role is perfect for individuals from:

  • Sports coaching or fitness instruction
  • Youth work or mentoring
  • Armed forces or cadet training
  • Performing arts, outdoor education, or activity leadership
