Your Role as a Teaching Assistant You ll play a key role in helping pupils feel confident, supported, and ready to learn each day. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils who need extra help Assisting with classroom management and positive behaviour strategies Encouraging strong relationships between students and staff Helping create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment Contributing to the school s Additional Learning Needs (ALN) provision Who We re Looking For You do not need to have worked in a school before what matters most is your attitude, personality, and willingness to learn. If you don t have classroom experience, you ll need to demonstrate strong transferable skills at interview for example, from roles in childcare, customer service, youth work, coaching, or any position requiring communication, patience, teamwork, or responsibility.
