1:1 Tutors Needed – Maths & English – Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole

Are you an experienced educator looking for rewarding, flexible work that truly makes a difference?

Teaching Personnel is partnering with local authorities to provide 1:1 tuition for pupils not currently accessing mainstream education (EOTAS). We are seeking passionate and patient tutors to deliver tailored support in Maths and English across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, and surrounding areas.

These pupils often have SEND and/or SEMH needs, and your role will be vital in helping them re-engage with learning through personalised, compassionate teaching. You’ll be planning and delivering individualised catch-up programmes, primarily for secondary-aged pupils, though these students are often working below age-related expectations.

This is an ideal role for teachers seeking flexibility, control over their workload, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant expierence
  • A compassionate, patient approach with a commitment to inclusive education
  • Confidence in planning and delivering sessions in Maths and/or English
  • Experience supporting SEND or SEMH pupils (desirable but not essential)
  • The ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
