Teaching Personnel are delighted to share that we've been selected by a large Multi Academy Trust covering schools across Cornwall and Devon to provide their supply and staffing support. Teaching Personnel is one of the approved agencies that this Trust works with directly for all their teaching, support and cover requirements. As part of this new partnership, we're expanding our pool of daily supply professionals to work in a range of SEN schools across Cornwall.

Job Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive SEN Teaching Assistants to support students across Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4 in a range of SEN and SEMH schools across Cornwall. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and making a meaningful difference in their education and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students stay engaged and progress in their learning
  • Support students with behaviour management and emotional wellbeing
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and school support teams

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN and/or SEMH students
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting students
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed and thrive
