Are you a passionate and resilient teacher looking to make a real difference in a specialist setting? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and well‑resourced specialist provision in Trafford from September.
About the Role
You will be teaching a small class of primary‑aged pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, physical disabilities and multiple learning disability (MLD). Pupils may be working below age‑related expectations and require a highly personalised, nurturing approach to learning. The school provides a structured, supportive and therapeutic environment, with strong emphasis on routine, communication, and emotional regulation. Staff work collaboratively with specialists to ensure every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
- Foster a safe, calm and inclusive classroom environment
- Use a variety of communication strategies and behaviour support techniques
- Track progress and contribute to EHCP targets and reviews
- Work closely with support staff, families, and external professionals
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience or strong interest in SEN education (ASC/SEMH preferred)
- Patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive teaching practices
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
