Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Graduate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist secondary school in Trafford.
The school supports students aged 11–16 with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, speech and language difficulties, moderate learning difficulties, and communication needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop practical skills, build your confidence, and gain experience working alongside experienced educators and SEND professionals.
The Role
- Support students on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
- Help pupils access learning and achieve their individual goals.
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
- Provide social and emotional support throughout the school day.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to create an engaging learning environment.
- Who We're Looking For
- Graduates from any degree background.
- Individuals with a genuine interest in SEND, education, or child development.
- Strong communicators who can build positive relationships.
- Patient, resilient, and enthusiastic individuals who enjoy helping others.
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.
