About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to join our supportive and inclusive school community in Towcester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an enthusiastic practitioner with a passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will work with a small class of pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties, delivering tailored lessons that support both academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Develop and implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCO, and external professionals
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with SEND pupils (preferred but not essential)
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
