Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a specialist provision in The New Forest to recruit a passionate and dedicated SEN Maths Teacher. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, offering pay in line with the teacher pay scale.
The Role:
- Deliver personalised and engaging maths lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Plan and deliver differentiated maths lessons to pupils with SEN.
- Adapt teaching approaches to support a range of learning needs, including ASD, SEMH, MLD, and SLD.
- Support pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis where required.
- Monitor progress and adjust learning plans accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, parents, and external professionals.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Have experience teaching maths, ideally within an SEN or alternative provision setting.
- Be patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills.
Safeguarding Requirements:
- An Enhanced Child-Only DBS registered on the Update Service or willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS through Teaching Personnel.
