Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a specialist provision in The New Forest to recruit a passionate and dedicated SEN Maths Teacher. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, offering pay in line with the teacher pay scale.

The Role:

  • Deliver personalised and engaging maths lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs.
  • Plan and deliver differentiated maths lessons to pupils with SEN.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to support a range of learning needs, including ASD, SEMH, MLD, and SLD.
  • Support pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis where required.
  • Monitor progress and adjust learning plans accordingly.
  • Work collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching maths, ideally within an SEN or alternative provision setting.
  • Be patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills.

Safeguarding Requirements:

  • An Enhanced Child-Only DBS registered on the Update Service or willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS through Teaching Personnel.
