Are you a caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting young people in education? We are working with a range of primary and secondary schools across the Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) area who are looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their teams and make a positive impact in the classroom.
About the Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Help implement personalised support plans to meet individual pupil needs.
- Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
- Promote positive behaviour and support students to engage fully in their learning.
- Adapt your approach to meet the needs of pupils across both primary and secondary settings.
Who We're Looking For:
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people in education.
- Be calm, patient, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Be flexible and adaptable, with the confidence to work across different school settings.
- Have experience in education, childcare, youth work, care, coaching, or a similar role (desirable but not essential).
- Have access to their own transport, as work may be across schools throughout the RCT area.
Requirements:
- We can support you in obtaining the following if needed:
- Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the Update Service).
- Two recent, relevant references covering the past two years.
