Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming local primary school to recruit a committed Early Years Foundation Stage Teacher to start as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for both ECTs and experienced teachers seeking a rewarding role within a supportive school environment.
Position: EYFS Teacher
Location: Tiverton
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £130 - £160 per day (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Part time (with potential for long-term or permanent placement)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons within the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with the EYFS framework
- Create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Support children's academic, social, emotional, and physical development
- Observe, monitor, and record pupil progress through EYFS assessment practices
- Encourage learning through play and child-led activities
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and parents/carers
- Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management
- Contribute positively to the wider school community where appropriate
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching within EYFS in UK primary schools or nursery settings (including placements)
- Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and early childhood development
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, reliable, and professional approach
- Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences
