Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Thornton that is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to make a positive impact in an Early Years classroom. The school prides itself on creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where both pupils and staff are encouraged to thrive.

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support children's learning, development, and wellbeing within the EYFS setting. You will help create engaging learning experiences, encourage positive social interactions, and support children as they develop key early learning skills.

  • Have experience working with young children in a school, nursery, preschool, childcare, or similar setting.
  • Be confident supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities.
  • Demonstrate patience, enthusiasm, and a nurturing approach.
  • Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Have a genuine passion for Early Years education.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare Qualification.
  • Early Years Practitioner Qualification.
  • CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent Early Years/Childcare qualification.

While qualifications are desirable, applications from individuals with relevant experience working with young children are also welcomed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
